Mandatory condition: Minimum attendance of 95% of course sessions.
Format: Continuing professional development training to improve language skills, delivered face-to-face or online (synchronous).

Target Group
Young people or adults, migrants or non-migrants, with little or no knowledge of the German language, who wish to develop basic language skills for communication in personal, social, and professional contexts.
General Objectives
At the end of the training, participants should have developed linguistic and communicative competences corresponding to levels A1 and A2 of the CEFR, enabling them to:
- Understand and use frequent everyday expressions;
- Communicate in simple and routine situations;
- Describe aspects of personal and professional life;
- Interact in basic contexts of social and workplace integration.
Specific Objectives
- Introduce themselves and others using basic structures.
- Describe daily routines and habitual activities.
- Express preferences, likes, and needs.
- Correctly use the present tense, past tense (Perfekt), and modal verbs.
- Communicate in situations related to work, shopping, health, and services.
- Write simple texts (emails, messages, personal descriptions).
- Participate in simple dialogues while respecting German sociocultural norms.
Teaching Methodologies
The course combines theoretical and practical sessions using diverse methodologies:
- Expository method: Clear introduction of grammatical content (German sentence structure, verb position, nominative/accusative/dative cases).
- Questioning method: Directed questions to stimulate oral production.
- Active method: Role-play, interview simulations, restaurant situations, medical appointments, etc.
- Communicative approach: Focus on real interaction.
- Cultural studies: Comparison between Portuguese and German culture.
- Learning diary: Reflection on progress.
- Use of German videos and podcasts to reinforce listening comprehension.
The methodology promotes balanced development of the four skills:

Assessment Moments and Methods
Assessment follows criteria of rigor and transparency and is presented in the first session.
Assessment Parameters:
- Minimum attendance of 90% of total hours
- Continuous assessment
- Written tests
- Oral exams
- Active participation in sessions
Grading:
Quantitative scale from 0 to 20.
Pass mark: ≥ 9.5.
Results will be published within 10 days after the end of the course.
Certification
A professional training certificate will be issued to trainees who:
a) Achieve a positive average grade.
b) Fulfill attendance and punctuality requirements.
Qualitative Mention:
- Excellent – 18 to 20
- Good – 14 to 17
- Satisfactory – 10 to 13
- Insufficient – 6 to 9
- Poor – 0 to 5
